Barakati
Attractions located in
the village Barakati Taluhu Iluta, Batudaa District, Gorontalo district,
approximately 3 kilometers to the west of the location of Fort Otanaha.
The word of Taluhu
Barakati comes from two words, namely taluhu, which means' water ', and
barakati which means' blessing' or 'grace''. So named because here there are
springs that are very clear, cool, and refreshing gushing like a blessing to
the slaves of Allah.
It is said that this
location is the local legend believed to be the location of the washing of the
empress and the royal family is in Batudaa.
Today the site is
frequently used locations performing arts and cultural events, such as the
election race Gorontalo sons and daughters or best known as the Nou & Uti.
